I Lost My Favorite Glasses
Recently my glasses for night-driving went missing. A few days after picking up my car from a carwash, I couldn’t find them in the center console where I usually kept them.
I called the place and spoke to someone who kindly said they’d call me back after looking. They didn’t call me back.
I called again. They said “Oh, right!” They again said they would look and call me back. They didn’t call me back.
The other day I woke up and these facts replayed behind my closed eyes. I was irritated, to say the least. And I was not even out of bed yet.
I could have called the carwash right then, letting the anger leak out in my voice. Instead, I recorded this podcast episode exploring the feelings underneath the whole situation.
If you find yourself wanting to let someone have it… but recognize it might serve you better to slow your roll, here is a little meditation for you.
